At Baby Spa New Zealand, our commitment to outstanding customer service is a cornerstone of our ethos. Our foremost objective is to provide unparalleled care for your babies. While we are dedicated to ensuring their well-being, it is essential to highlight our unwavering stance against any form of aggressive behaviour by customers within our premises. We kindly request your cooperation in upholding the integrity of our environment by respecting the protocols and judgments put forth by our staff.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for each session to complete registration and provide a top-up feed for your baby. Optimal session times are when your baby has just woken up from a nap and received a full feed. Nursing rooms are available for earlier feeds. For babies older than 5 months, we recommend morning sessions due to potential afternoon tiredness.
Each session spans up to 45 minutes, combining hydrotherapy and massage. Initial water time is 10-15 minutes, gradually extending to 30 minutes with regular visits. Massage duration is adaptable, responding to cues. Comforting cuddles and feeding can be done between hydrotherapy and massage if needed.
We provide swim nappies, towels, and nappy covers. Kindly bring your nappy bag, dummy, a familiar toy, and formula if bottle feeding. If breastfeeding and your baby can’t use a bottle, it’s essential for the mother to attend as babies can become thirsty after hydrotherapy.
Our policy requires a 12-hour notice for any changes or cancellations. While we acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances arise, we regret we can’t reschedule within this timeframe. Failure to adhere to this policy or a no-show will result in appointment forfeiture, applicable to both single and package sessions. To make changes, please use the confirmation email or contact us by phone. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
Our sessions are tailored for babies aged 2 days to 6 months. If your baby has been attending consistently before 6 months, they can continue until 8-9 months. Regular attendance is considered weekly or fortnightly.
For babies aged 2 days to 6 weeks, our individual neo pods provide optimal benefits, making an early start highly advantageous.
After the age of 6 months, babies undergo significant developmental changes. They are absorbing new experiences rapidly and can find it challenging to be away from their parents. Our observations reveal that babies attending their first session after 6 months might encounter difficulty in acclimating to the water. We are open to exceptions, particularly for premature babies or those with specific conditions like low muscle tone, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy. Feel free to contact us if you have queries regarding babies in this age group.
We do not allow children under the age of eight to attend our facilities. This is to ensure that the environment is kept calm, quiet and hygienic.
You are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session. If you are running late, your session will be shortened.
Up to 3 babies, or 4 in a group booking.
For optimal and sustained benefits from hydrotherapy, many of our clients find that attending once a week or once a fortnight is most effective.
Our clients do anywhere from 1 – 40 sessions before they reach the maximum age limit. It is up to you what you can fit into your life and routine.
We recommend waiting a few days after your baby’s immunizations for their session. This ensures they are settled and comfortable for their experience.
